JetSuite’s Company Culture and Values

As a private jet charter company, it is JetSuite’s mission to deliver an extraordinary experience to its clients, maintain the highest dedication to safety, and to redefine private aviation.

The employees that continue to elevate JetSuite are crucial to its continued success, and while every company has a different company culture, what you may not know is that the JetSuities have a list of 10 core values that they live by in and out of the office.

 JetSuite Values in Action:

Pirates

Above is a photo that was taken of a group of JetSuities playing a game called “Pirates of the Caribbean” as training (headed by Kristen McIntyre, JetSuite’s Learning & Development Designer) for adding Caribbean service to the JetSuite Edition CJ3 fleet.  Kristen presented different scenarios and the other JetSuities had to use the designated tools to find the information necessary to resolve the client requests. The first team to resolve a specific request “conquered” the island nation associated with it, receiving a gold dubloon in exchange. The team with most dubloons at the end won some pirate’s booty and a victor’s banquet (lunch)!

This exercise is an accurate reflection of the JetSuite company culture. In this one instance, the JetSuities exercised the values:

SERVE FROM THE HEART & LOVE WHAT YOU DO: Each JetSuitie is passionate about what they do and the private jet & aviation industry they’re in. This same passion extends into their work and continues to build JetSuite into the ever-growing company that it is today.

IMPROVE SOMETHING TODAY & SEEK FIRST TO UNDERSTAND: After adding the Caribbean private jet charter service, the JetSuities prepared for and found solutions to  situations that they could face in the future. This preparation will allow them to improve how they can help JetSuite clients to ensure a smooth and satisfying experience.

DELIVER ON COMMITMENTS: It’s important to the JetSuities that they deliver on every commitment they make. With the addition of the Caribbean private jet charter service, familiarizing themselves with scenarios and information that they would eventually encounter equips them with the tools to be able to continue to deliver on their commitment to provide an unparalleled private jet experience.

HAVE FUN & ASK FOR HELP: While working in teams, the JetSuities were able to work together and ask each other for help to come up with solutions that would best suit the situation given. Along with this, they made the exercise fun by dressing up!

KEEP CALM AND PRESS ON: As with any job, there are unforeseen circumstances that can arise. The JetSuities’ passion coupled with their yearn to elevate JetSuite into a new level of success allows them to approach any situation with a positive, “can-do” attitude.

While this is just one situation, the JetSuities incorporate these 10 core values every day in the office and in their everyday lives.

As JetSuite continues to grow, the need for more support grows. If you feel that you embody these core values and would like to join the JetSuite team, visit the career page.

Pets Love To Fly Privatly, Too! JetSuite Welcomes You And Your Furry Friends

The last thing you want to do on vacation is worry about your family’s pet. With the summer season coming up, skip boarding your pet at a kennel, the hassles of traveling with your pet on a commercial flight (which means providing proof of current vaccinations, size and breed restrictions, placing them in the cargo area, and the possibility of your pet experiencing separation anxiety); and instead, take them along for the ride with you.

When you charter a private jet with JetSuite, you have not only chosen a private jet charter company that boasts the highest-level safety audit rating in private aviation, employs pilots who have over 8,000 flight hours*, or prides itself on delivering an experience unlike any other, but also one that knows how much your pets mean to you and welcomes them to fly with you in the cabin at no extra cost.

Whether you want your furry friend with you on your lap, in the aisle, or even on the seat, we’re happy to offer you the peace of mind that your pet is safe and comfortable.

Follow Friday: Greg Longie (Week 2)

When you charter a private jet with JetSuite, you don’t just get a flight, you get an experience. While there are many JetSuities that work behind the scenes, the people that our clients get to meet face-to-face are our pilots. Not only do JetSuite pilots boast an average of 8,000 hours of flight time; their passion is also unparalleled.

Every Friday for the month of March, follow one of JetSuite’s pilots, Greg Longie, as he flies our clients in one of our JetSuite Edition CJ3s. (Of course, we’ll keep the client information confidential – but Greg is ready to share everything else!)

Greg Longie

Questions of the week (week 2):

RC: How long have you been flying?

GL: I started casually flying in 1988 while I built a career in health care IT. When I realized that my dreams were to actually fly planes, I changed careers and followed my dreams.

RC: Where is your favorite place to fly?

GL: Of course flying to West Palm Beach means I’m flying home! So I really enjoy that. However, I find flying in the Northeast corridor during the winter to be challenging and fun. I also enjoy Teterboro, NJ and White Plains, NY, especially when we have a bit of time off. NYC is always a fun place to fly as well since I’m a bit of a foodie and they have a ton of great restaurants!”

Where he’s flown this week:

Screen Shot 2013-03-18 at 9.49.15 AM

TEB – Teterboro, NJ // HEF – Manasses, VA // MCO – Orlando, FL // DAL – Dallas, TX // SRR – Sierra Blanca, Ruidoso, NM // SDL – Scottsdale, AZ // BUF – Buffalo, NY // MDW – Midway, Chicago, IL // PBI – West Palm Beach, FL // MBPV – Providenciales, Turks & Caicos // FLL – Ft Lauderdale, FL // BNA – Nashville, TN // 3A1 – Folsom field, Cullman, AL // SAT – San Antonio, TX

This week: “This week was especially cool for me as I had the opportunity to fly to a place that I’ve been wanting to visit for a long time.  As an experienced scuba diver, Turks & Caicos has been on my list of places to visit for quite some time.  I had the chance to visit as we flew one of the JetSuite Edition CJ3s to pick up a client.  Though it was a work trip and I wasn’t able to get in the water, I’m pleased to have gotten the chance to see such a beautiful place and now I can say I’ve been!

Something that some may not know is that flying to the islands means lots of paperwork, and this trip was no exception. We printed just over 50 pages of paper for navigation, flight planning, customs, immigration and aircraft performance!”

Favorite photo of the week was taken in: Providenciales, Turks & Caicos.

Longie_W2_Pic

“In front on the JetSuite Edition CJ3 in Turks & Caicos!”

My favorite memory from this week was: “On our trip to Turks & Caicos, my first officer, Captain Paul gave a pin of a JetSuite Edition CJ3 to one of the FBO customer service representatives.  It was her first and she wore it proudly!”

This week could be summed up with the word: “‘Paperwork!’”

Questions of the week (week 1):

RC: What made you want to fly for JetSuite?

GL: One of my very good friends was hired here about a year before I was hired. He told me all about JetSuite and said that I needed to come work for them. We talked about the clean, safe equipment, and mostly about the amazing people we work with.

RC: What is your favorite part of flying?

GL: I really enjoy all aspects of flying. It’s a job that always challenges and rewards with amazing views. From the study time of learning a new plane to flying a plane down an ILS to the minimum altitude and seeing the runway at the end of that approach. I really enjoy almost all aspects of my chosen career.

Where he’s flown this week:

HPN: White Plains, NY // DTW: Detroit, MI // TEB: Teterboro, NJ // IAD: Washington Dulles, VA // PBI: West Palm Beach, FL // TEB: Teterboro, NJ // OPF: Opa Locka, FL // TEB: Teterboro, NJ // IAD: Washington Dulles, VA // MDW: Chicago Midway, IL // BOS: Boston Logan, MA

A day in the week: “On Tuesday, March 5th, we had a long day of flying.  Starting in West Palm Beach (my favorite overnight because I live there!) we flew 3 clients back home to Teterboro after a few days of playing golf in South Florida.  That trip was just a bit over 3 hours of flight time.  We then flew a SuiteDeal client from Teterboro down to Opa Locka, FL.  Our client brought along 4 of his friends on our almost 3 hour flight south to Florida and they really enjoyed the luxuries of our JetSuite Edition CJ3, including the WiFi connection and the amazing view at 45,000 feet!  Our final close to 3 hour trip was from Opa Locka back to Teterboro with just one happy client.  With a total of 8 hours and 30 mins of time spent in the air, both Chris (my First Officer) and I were quite pleased to enjoy a nice dinner and a well-deserved night of sleep.”

Favorite photo of the week was taken in: Boston, MA.

“Winter storm Saturn hits Boston the same time we’re here!”

My favorite memory from this week was: “from one of our happy SuiteDeal clients that gave a thunderous round of applause when we landed in Miami.”

This week could be summed up with the word: “‘Hectic’”

Suite Offices at JetSuite

JetSuitiesTop (Left to Right): Julian Cantu (Flight Ops Admin. Asst.), Amir Bahadoran (IT Support Technician), Steven Roy (Director, IT) // Bottom (Left to Right): Anissa Godby (Guest Services Executive), Korina Sines (Guest Services Executive), Kevin O’Such (Intern to CEO)

Given that JetSuite is a private jet charter company, it wouldn’t be unusual to find multiple model Phenom 100s and JetSuite Edition CJ3s around the office, posters of JetSuite’s values, and walls adorned with articles featuring JetSuite. However, yesterday, there was a small addition to JetSuite’s office décor.

Last week, the JetSuities were asked to submit a childhood photo to Amir (above) for a mini JetSuite office makeover initiative. It wasn’t until yesterday that he revealed what project his request was for: new office name placards. He took the photos that the JetSuities submitted, added their names, and placed them on their respective offices and cubicles. Not only is this a great topic of conversation, but also another opportunity to incorporate the JetSuite culture into the every day work effort to bring private jet travel to more people than ever before.

What do you think of this fun spin on a typically mundane office staple?
