A great place to view art is to visit P.S. 1, an extension of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) that acts as an exhibition space featuring experimental art from emerging artists and supports new genres and innovation in contemporary art. To get a taste of the New York film community, the Film Forum is a cinema theater that features independent films created by emerging artists.
Another great place to visit to emerge yourself into the New York culture is SoHo. Located in Lower Manhattan and neighboring TriBeCa, SoHo is filled with art galleries, trendy boutiques, and vintage architecture.
Rockefeller Center offers a host of exciting ways to spend the day. To begin, if you can get there between 7-10AM, you could be on the TODAY show right behind the newscast. Later, you can go see all of NYC from one of the three 360 observation decks (70 floors up). Later, walk around the Concourse to get a bite to eat and visit the beautifully lush Channel Gardens that run along the outdoor promenade.
Of course, no trip to New York City is ever complete without a shopping trip. The perfect place for this is along 5TH Avenue. With stores like Dolce & Gabbana, Ferragamo, Ted Baker, Louis Vuitton, and Tous, you’re bound to find something that suits your taste!

Later, you can skate around The Rink that is set up in front of Rockefeller plaza and admire the enormous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree that attracts floods of people during the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.

If you’re in the mood for some French cuisine, Daniel, located in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, has a vibrant ambiance and contemporary flair.

At the end of a long day, sometimes you just want to wind down and enjoy a cocktail. The world famous Plaza Hotel boasts a champagne bar if you want some bubbly, or you can visit the Oak Room for something with a little more of a kick.
